My God. Rumi and Sir Carter are here on this planet, and were introduced to the world in the most glamorous fashion.
Have you caught your breath? Great. Now, when I was woken up with this image I was in awe. She really did that. Throughout the day, I knew that I needed to talk about it here. But, I didn't know how. Finally inspiration struck, I immediately began to draw on a napkin. I knew what I would do.
A BOUQUET. I SKETCHED OUT MY VISION.
For the last week, I have been so ready make this vision a reality. I had budgeted how much they'd cost. I knew what stores I would hit up, everything was going to be great. I waited until Friday, because I wanted to reward myself with the treat of creating something.
I've taken to floral arranging in the past year as a way to manage anxiety and be creative. I absolutely love it, so when this project started to not go the way that I wanted.... I was UPSET.
Y'all this looked a. mess.
I literally left them in that pitcher overnight because I was over it. I woke up the next morning and tried to execute the vision with what I had, but it just wasn't quite right. But, then I realized when life gives you lemons.... make Lemonade.
Now, I had not only one arrangement... but four and enough left over to pretend to be Sasha Velour (a link for those who missed the magic).
I remembered to be patient with myself. I'm not perfect and nothing I do will be. What I can always do, and what we can always do is our best.
